Aro Cargo Bike - yours, mine, ours

The Aro Valley Community Centre has received funding from the Wellington City Council to buy a cargo bike for the community. This bike can be borrowed by community members to reduce the need and use of cars for trips into the city.

The Cristiana cargo bike can hold up to 100kgs or 4 children and so is perfect  for day trips and carrying those items that are too big and heavy for a regular bike. You can book the Aro Cargo bike for 24 hrs or for a weekend.

The membership and service fee is $60 for a year. If you would like to borrow it for a one off outing without a membership, it is $10.

The cargo bike is designed to reduce cars on the road, emissions and the stress of traffic.
